Electronic New Annotated SH!

Today W. W. Norton launched the electronic edition of The New Annotated Sherlock Holmes. I understand that it is available on the Kindle, Nook, Ipad (Ibooks), and Kobo. More about them can be found here: http://bitly.com/bundles/wwnorton/2. I have no information yet about the electronic publication of volumes 2 and 3, but volume 1 is very promising: Not only are the footnotes all present (as hyperlinks), it appears that the beautiful images (and there are over 1,000 in the three-volume set) are “zoomable”–that is, can be enlarged to see the details. Also, we’ve been accumulating errata, and this now constitutes a “fourth printing,” picking up all of the corrections noted to date by eagle-eyed Sherlockians, as reported elsewhere on this website. The edition is of course fully searchable, which makes up in part for the lack of a contiguous index (there is a fine unpublished index by Adrian Nebitt, available privately, but not yet published).

I hope that this edition will make the New Annotated more widely accessible and portable–now if I can only figure out how to sign it for fans!

Really great electronic versions of volumes 1&2. I am waiting for the electronic version of volume 3. Any chance of getting it in the foreseeable feature? Thanks.

Thanks for volumes 1&2. It has been a while. I would be very glad to know if volume 3 will be available electronically.
